About the role

  • Retail Business Development Manager focusing on retail channel development in Germany and Europe. Driving key account relations and strategic product integration.

Responsibilities

  • Building and further developing our retail sales channel in Germany and, prospectively, at the European level.
  • Identifying suitable retail partners — particularly in grocery retail, specialty retail and chain retailers.
  • Proactive outreach, acquisition and management of key accounts in the retail sector.
  • Strategic integration of our products into assortments, starting with our flagship products.
  • Developing compelling sales pitches and creating POS materials in close coordination with Marketing and Design.
  • Close collaboration with Product Management, Logistics and Executive Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conducting negotiations on terms, listings and promotional allowances.
  • Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with buyers and decision-makers in retail.
  • Ongoing market and competitor analysis in the retail segment to derive appropriate measures.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience (minimum 3 years) in sales of consumer goods in brick-and-mortar retail.
  • Extensive network in the retail environment, particularly with buyers of relevant retail chains.
  • Proven track record of securing listings for new brands and products in retail.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the motivation to actively build and develop structures.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy and a confident manner in customer meetings.
  • Confident handling of KPI-driven sales approaches and processes.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and, prospectively, at the European level.
