About the role

  • Streamline travel operations and expense management in coordination with Accounting
  • Manage employee contracts and confidential paperwork, ensuring all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed
  • Play a key role in onboarding and offboarding, ensuring precise documentation and system updates
  • Act as the link between the HR team, employees, and external partners (payroll, legal, etc.)
  • Manage leave administration, including complex entitlement calculations
  • Generate insights from HR data and analyze key metrics
  • Maintain compliance by conducting regular checks, e.g., on work permits and leave entitlements

Requirements

  • Previous experience in HR administration or People Operations
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals and familiarity with German labor law
  • Fluent in English
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail — typos and errors are unacceptable
  • Motivated to build a career in HR
  • Thrive when given ownership and autonomy
  • Ability to come into the office in Berlin‑Kreuzberg on short notice for urgent on-site tasks and required meetings
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at a university in Germany
