About the role

  • Training Specialist delivering engaging training programs for mortgage sales professionals at Better. Using AI technology, mentor and coach professionals to sharpen their skills and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate live and virtual training sessions for new and experienced sales professionals
  • Teach mortgage fundamentals, Tinman workflows, compliance basics, and borrower engagement skills
  • Sales coach production roles (objection handling, disclosures, rate conversations, etc.)
  • Track trainee performance with KPIs such as speed-to-competency, talk-to-app ratios, and borrower satisfaction
  • Collaborate with peers to innovate training activities, roleplays, and assessments
  • Embody and enforce team IMPACT (Integrity, Mastery, Presence, Accountability, Clarity, and Tenacity)

Requirements

  • 2+ years mortgage experience
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills (in-person and virtual)
  • Confidence managing groups and energizing audiences
  • Basic understanding of mortgage lifecycle or proven ability to learn complex technical systems quickly
  • Hands-on experience with LOS platforms (Encompass, Blend, Optimal Blue, Melo, Salesforce, LOLA, Ignite) is preferred
  • Mortgage industry experience (LC, LOA, processor, or operations) preferred
  • Corporate training, coaching, or instructional design background preferred
  • Sales training or customer-facing leadership experience preferred
  • Certifications (ATD CPLP, SAFE Act, coaching credentials) preferred
