About the role

  • Plant HR Manager at ASSA ABLOY managing HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle in Jamnagar. Driving cultural initiatives, productivity and fostering communication in plant workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a change agent — reinforcing company culture, championing right behaviours, and driving end-to-end talent management at the plant level
  • Ensure hygiene and full compliance of HR operations aligned with ASSA ABLOY group standards and local legislation
  • Manage HR audits and maintain 100% compliance with global company policies
  • Liaise with government bodies as required and oversee general administration
  • Establish and maintain a strong shop floor presence and manage employee grievances
  • Drive cultural assimilation initiatives and promote positive work environment
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive optimum employee productivity and mentor plant leadership
  • Support the Plant Operations Head in Employee Health, Safety & Environment initiatives
  • Maintain and report accurate HR MIS

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources / MBA – HR / Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a plant HR leadership role
  • Prior experience in a matrix organisation with cross-cultural stakeholder management
  • Strong change management capabilities with proven ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high responsiveness
  • Self-motivated, ownership-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • High standards of work ethics, professional integrity, and deadline discipline
  • Strong command over MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and HRMS platforms such as SAP / SuccessFactors.
