About the role

  • Senior HRBP serving as a strategic advisor for U.S. Manufacturing at Ashland. Aligning people strategies with operational priorities across multiple manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leaders and managers
  • Provide HR guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
  • Lead and support a team of HR Generalists
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated HR solutions
  • Drive labor relations activities and support management during labor discussions
  • Promote a strong performance culture through goal setting and accountability
  • Engage as a partner in CBA union negotiations and grievances
  • Resolve complex employee relations matters
  • Maintain strong relationships with union leadership
  • Work proactively to advance inclusion and diversity goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of HR experience
  • Demonstrated labor relations experience supporting a unionized workforce
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred
