About the role

  • HR Business Partner managing HR initiatives and compliance at Apotex, supporting leaders across the U.S. Collaborating on talent strategies and promoting high-performance work environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Represent business needs with Global HR to influence HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with U.S. HR leadership and Global HR partners to implement people strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Lead employee relations strategies that promote a positive, compliant, and high-performance work environment.
  • Drive Great Place to Work (GPTW) action plans by monitoring employee sentiment, assessing people impacts, and advising leaders on actionable solutions.
  • Represent the business unit’s talent priorities while supporting workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical talent needs and implement strategies for attraction, development, and retention.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases and investigations using a proactive, balanced, and risk-aware approach.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Execute HR standards, policies, and initiatives to support long-term business sustainability.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, probationary reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Oversee HR vendor partnerships related to wellness, engagement, recruitment, and recognition programs.
  • Provide HR operational oversight for employee inquiries, benefits coordination, payroll and job changes, onboarding, training compliance, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Experience in global industries strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • English fluency required, with the ability to conduct business in Spanish as needed.
  • Demonstrate global mindset.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and manage complex organizational change.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HRBP or HR lead role.
