About the role
- VP, Enterprise Architecture - Modernization at AIG focusing on technology strategies and modernization practices. Responsible for shaping IT strategies and leading a team of architects to ensure operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Global head of Architecture in IS
- Work closely with IS leaders across functional disciplines
- Focus on delivering value and enabling well-architected capabilities
- Be accountable for the modernization and innovation practice management operating model
- Shape enterprise IT strategies for cross-LOB capabilities
- Establish enterprise asset taxonomies
- Lead innovative technologies and use agile, DevOps and lean approaches
- Develop and mature overall enterprise architecture approach to AI/ML
- Communicate technical architecture direction for AI-enabled IT and LoB initiatives
- Define emerging hybrid cloud reference architectures
- Plan and manage a talent pool of enterprise and domain architects
- Supervise a team of architects
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, system analysis, related field of study, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in at least three disciplines across: information, solution or technical architecture, application development, infrastructure, information security or operations in a hybrid environment
- Minimum of 10+ years of technology leadership position
- Expert knowledge of business ecosystems, Gen AI/ML, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS on hybrid cloud(s), microservices & APIs, event-driven architectures, Open data, DevSecOps, predictive analytics and AI/ML
- Able to resolve complex operational problems for multiple teams or functions in collaboration with senior IT Leadership on strategic issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trust and able to communicate vision effectively with technical teams and business leadership.
