About the role
- Proposal Manager leading Aecon's formal submissions for major projects. Managing proposals in a deadline-driven environment with focus on construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management and oversight of Aecon’s formal submissions
- Lead major proposal pursuits
- Manage Aecon submission responses when an Aecon JV partner is the pursuit lead
- Schedule and lead proposal/bid meetings
- Manage and coordinate input from other partners and internal stakeholders
- Oversee and manage documents throughout the proposal/bid process
- Provide regular proposal/bid pursuit status reports
- Manage assigned project pursuit schedules
- Oversee and manage assigned Proposal Coordinators
- Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and reports
- Package and deliver final proposal/bid submissions
- Coordinate with Aecon’s internal graphic design team
- Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal/bid requirements
- Track and ensure timely deliverables
- Perform compliance checks on submittal documents
- Attend pre-bid meetings and post-bid debrief meetings
Requirements
- Experience in major Canadian and U.S. proposal submissions
- Strong knowledge and experience in the construction industry
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction
- Advanced communication skills (Oral and Written)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign an asset
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to gather, synthesize, and effectively present technical information
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
