About the role

  • Salesforce Intern assisting with emergency management systems for the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Gaining hands-on experience and exposure to public sector technology in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) project by assisting with day-to-day Salesforce administration and system enhancement efforts.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards, performing data entry and data validation.
  • Support permission set and profile cleanup to improve system organization and security.
  • Assist with basic field creation and updates, troubleshoot introductory automation issues, and help resolve Salesforce support cases.
  • Provide additional system support during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations to ensure accuracy, continuity, and readiness of mission-critical workflows.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor degree program (or recently graduated within the past year) from a Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field program at an accredited university, college, or other educational facility in the Tallahassee FL area.
  • 6-24+ months customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Current GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).
  • 1+ years of Salesforce administrative/configuration experience (preferred).
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification, Salesforce Associate Certification, and/or Salesforce Administrator Certification (preferred).
