About the role

  • Coordinate and support meetings with key stakeholders, including schools, employers, and community organizations, to strengthen local workforce strategies.
  • Help design and implement programs and solutions that increase educational attainment and workforce readiness for youth, adults, and underserved populations.
  • Collect and analyze KPI data to measure program success and prepare reports for state, federal, and local grants.
  • Draft and edit content for grant applications, newsletters, and marketing campaigns to share progress and success stories.
  • Assist in developing outreach efforts to engage diverse communities, from students to jobseekers to employers.
  • Collaborate with schools, businesses, and community partners to build pathways for success and advance the Oakland80 initiative.
  • Blend data analysis, creative problem-solving, and relationship-building as part of a mission-driven workforce development team.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in any field of study.
  • Have had at least three (3) years of full-time work experience with administration and/or operation of workforce development or education programs.
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
  • Maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license (Special Requirements).
