About the role

  • Server Support Technician for Fiserv managing server infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance. Collaborating with IT teams to troubleshoot issues across Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve server-related issues across Windows and Linux, including hardware failures, software bugs, and network connectivity problems.
  • Respond to help desk requests and provide technical support to users.
  • Maintain accurate records of server configurations and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects.
  • Support and enhance daily alert automation workflows.
  • Ensure documentation remains current and aligned with evolving processes and policies.
  • Utilize tools such as Service Point, Moogsoft, SailPoint, Splunk, and App Map for ticketing, reporting, and change management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in server support in an enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with server monitoring tools and backup solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
  • Associates degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, Linux+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
