About the role

  • Lead and develop a high-performing recruiting team to deliver best-in-class hiring outcomes across technical and business domains
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize customized recruitment strategies that align with company growth objectives and future workforce planning
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and enhance their recruiting capabilities
  • Provide strong leadership in all aspects of talent acquisition, inspiring and guiding the team towards achieving strategic goals
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving in developing innovative recruiting solutions and strategies
  • Partner closely with senior engineering leaders to understand organizational priorities, define hiring needs, and develop long-term talent acquisition roadmaps
  • Provide guidance on the full recruitment lifecycle — from sourcing and assessment to offer management and onboarding — ensuring an exceptional candidate experience at every stage
  • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and report key metrics (time-to-fill, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction, etc.) to leadership
  • Build scalable domestic and international sourcing strategies to reach talent in competitive technology markets and attract them to WbyT
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and other Operations teams to streamline recruiting processes, enhance compliance, and improve overall efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven full-cycle recruitment experience in leading and managing a talent acquisition team within a technology-driven organization
  • Track record of guiding teams towards achieving strategic goals in talent acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop recruiting teams, fostering professional growth and enhancing capabilities
  • Proven success in hiring for software engineering, data, and product management roles
  • A strategic thinker and problem-solver, with the ability to design and implement impactful recruiting initiatives
  • Skilled in direct sourcing, including talent mapping using multiple channels (LinkedIn Recruiter, Stack Overflow, referrals, events, etc.)
  • Data-savvy, with experience in analyzing recruitment metrics to drive decisions and optimize outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across functions
  • Strong sense of ownership, creativity, and accountability; a genuine passion for technology and organizational excellence
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in Japanese and multicultural environments.
