Own and manage the end-to-end benefits administration process, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment
Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and vendor communications
Partner with brokers and carriers to resolve issues and support benefit strategy implementation
Administer and manage all employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, state/local leaves, and company-specific policies
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and maintain accurate records and documentation
Support general HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and maintaining HRIS data integrity
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend and implement updates as needed
Manage employment verifications, I-9 compliance, and other HR documentation
Act as a day-to-day resource for employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
Handle employee inquiries with a service-minded approach and always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Partner with the Director on process improvements that enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another similar discipline preferred (or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience in lieu of education)
Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or operations-focused role
Prior experience with HRIS systems; comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, and benefits platforms
Distraction-free home workspace with a secure internet connection
PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
Previous experience in healthcare or social work
