About the role

  • Director HRIS overseeing HR technology strategy including Workday integration and reporting at Candescent. Leading HRIS roadmap and team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and execution of the HR technology ecosystem with Workday at its core.
  • Develop and implement a multi-year HRIS roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of HR systems in collaboration with HR leadership and IT teams.
  • Oversee configuration, optimization, and governance of Workday across all modules.
  • Manage integrations with payroll, benefits, ATS, and ERP systems.
  • Build dashboards and advanced reporting for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through technology.
  • Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 HRIS analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7–10 years in HR technology or HRIS roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proficiency in Workday and other HR platforms (ATS, LMS).
  • Strong understanding of data management and analytics.
  • High-growth or startup environment experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, or Workday certifications are a plus.
