About the role

  • Manage and grow key merchant accounts by providing tailored payment solutions that drive transaction growth, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new strategic merchants across various industries in Cebu and Davao.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers, ensuring alignment between partner objectives and Coins’ business goals.
  • Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and partnership agreements to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Lead regular business reviews to assess performance, resolve issues, and uncover new partnership opportunities.
  • Plan and lead partner conventions, financial literacy sessions, and trade activations to strengthen brand presence and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, tech, operations, and marketing) to ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and campaign execution.
  • Execute regional and nationwide marketing and partnership initiatives to drive visibility, transaction volume, and merchant engagement.
  • Support the development and implementation of growth strategies that enhance Coins’ market position in the payments and fintech sector.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance, transaction trends, and portfolio growth.
  • Deliver actionable market insights and performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Track industry developments, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities and risks.

Requirements

  • With 3-5 years of experience in business development and account management in different industries.
  • Proven track record of generating leads and supporting client acquisition efforts.
  • Good knowledge and client relationships of fiat payment networks in all industries.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • High attention to detail and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
  • Ability to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is an advantage.
