About the role

  • Assist the Group Company Secretary to ensure the Company Secretariat runs smoothly
  • Ensure appropriate legal and statutory compliance is maintained across the Group and subsidiaries
  • Provide efficient company secretarial services to Boards, Board Committees and key management Committees
  • Deputise for the Company Secretary as required and act as lead company secretary for directed business areas
  • Assist with statutory and regulatory administration, including compliance with filings, Annual Returns, Report and Accounts and filing resolutions with Companies House or other statutory authorities
  • Maintain information on Blueprint (Company Secretariat database)
  • Provide company secretarial support for Board Meetings, General Meetings and Committee Meetings, including minute taking
  • Keep up to date with developments in Company Law, Corporate Governance and relevant Shareholder Deed requirements
  • Produce an Annual Timetable of key Company Secretarial events and maintain it
  • Undertake miscellaneous administrative duties and tasks

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Diligent and Blueprint Secretariat Software (desirable; training provided)
  • Experience providing full company secretarial support to Boards and/or Committees (financial services sector preferred)
  • Excellent minute writing skills
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and team-focused approach
  • Highly methodical and organised; ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high quality output
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with a high degree of discretion
  • Ability to absorb and digest technical knowledge and complex data
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Qualified in the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators qualification
