About the role

  • Prospect and run Heartland Point of Sale presentations in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses
  • Close sales of business solutions within a fast sales cycle and achieve quota
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions to close sales
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in CRM (Atlas) including call notes and scheduled interactions
  • Use CRM platforms (Atlas and Salesforce) for lead generation, sales presentations, financial analysis and paperless contract processing
  • Work closely with and report to District Manager; receive coaching from a Director
  • Attend weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-ones with leader
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of product/service portfolio and industry developments

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license (regular driving to visit client sites required)
  • Background check after conditional offer of employment
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment
  • Live in area relative to job posting location
  • Ability to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
  • Experience with CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce
