About the role

  • Drive patient identification and market development for SMA & ALS by building and executing against a territory strategy and account specific plans.
  • Continuously assess sales opportunities within markets and accounts to maintain and grow their business.
  • Maximize relationship with physicians through effective call planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure access and logistics at site of care.
  • Execute programs, in-services, and lunch-and-learns for their territory.
  • Determine suitable travel schedule and call plan for adequate coverage of key accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive business experience in the healthcare or biotech industry, inclusive of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, and/or field reimbursement. Rare disease experience is preferred.
  • A successful track record in field reimbursement, clinical education or in pharmaceutical sales/management of products that required significant payer and reimbursement involvement
  • Experience in supporting biologic therapy administered by a designated health care provider
  • Experienced pharmaceutical professional with a comprehensive understanding of field / patient reimbursement, charitable funding, non-profit organizations
  • Must be comfortable spending 60% of time traveling; some overnight travel required
  • Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license to be considered
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Degree preferred
