About the role

• Physician Recruitment Assistant joining the Duke Medical Staff Recruitment team. Evaluating candidates, managing relationships with vendors, and improving recruitment strategies for Duke Health Integrated Practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate physician and APP CVs for minimum qualifications, board certification, licensure, and alignment with specialty requirements.
• Own the design and execution of physician/APP interview itineraries, ensuring candidates’ schedules, departmental needs, and organizational priorities are balanced.
• Independently manage relationships with external vendors (e.g., travel agencies, relocation firms, real estate partners).
• Partner with Physician Recruiters and leadership to design and implement specialty-specific recruitment strategies.
• Serve as a liaison to physician recruitment teams, hiring departments, onboarding, credentialing, and benefits partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration required.
• 1 year of related recruitment experience in a healthcare setting.
• 1-2 years of physician recruitment experience preferred.
• Willing and able to drive to DHIP administrative office in Durham, NC for occasional staff or recruiter pod meetings Durham office headquarters, or in-person recruitment booth coverage.
