About the role
- Support the National Product Manager – Property by providing technical support and assisting with pricing strategies
- Conduct holistic portfolio analysis to ensure profitable growth for Property, Motor and Engineering products
- Support innovation and growth by developing and delivering new processes, products, and tools to improve efficiency and profitability
- Work with stakeholders to bring projects to fruition and develop/maintain strong internal relationships
- Contribute to the ongoing review and updating of Underwriting Rules, including communication of risk appetite
- Contribute to the ongoing review and updating of existing products and manage product and rate governance requirements
- Monitor and analyse portfolio results and individual product performance; identify trends and opportunities and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure adequate pricing, underwriting standards and appropriate risk acceptance
- Assist with technical audits
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of risk and portfolio management
- Proactive mindset with adaptability and ownership
- Effective planning, budgeting, and negotiation skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication across all levels of the organisation
- Advanced Excel skills (preferred)
- Ability to undergo work rights checks, police checks and credit checks as a condition of employment
