About the role

  • Schedule patient appointments and perform registrations for Overlake Medical Center. Handle insurance verification and collaborate with clinical teams in a hybrid call-center role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, accurate and customer-focused communication services in the call center
  • Schedule routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments
  • Perform full patient registration at the time of the call
  • Answer routine insurance questions and obtain/verify insurance eligibility and benefits for some same-day and next-day appointments
  • Obtain current insurance information for new patients and notify the clinic team of the visit
  • Work collaboratively with back office teams to ensure patient needs are relayed in a timely manner
  • Ensure phone communication provides an exceptional patient experience
  • Work full-time 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, and follow Hybrid Work Schedule after 90-day probationary period

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role, physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting required
  • Experience working in a high-volume call center environment highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations
  • Ability to multi-task, be organized and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated proficient computer keyboard skills
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement: proof of full COVID-19 immunization required (must provide immunization card before first day)
