About the role
- Manager of Hybrid Compute Infrastructure overseeing cloud and on-premises services at Hexagon. Leading teams and ensuring infrastructure aligns with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of infrastructure system admins, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of hybrid compute platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements for cloud and hardware providers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including IT, cybersecurity, software development, and business stakeholders—to ensure infrastructure aligns with company goals.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data protection and privacy.
- Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure projects and ongoing operations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in hybrid computing, recommending innovative solutions to enhance Hexagon’s capabilities.
- Lead the maintenance and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on hybrid or cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams and driving large-scale projects.
- Expertise in virtualization, storage, and security within hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, VMware, etc.) are highly desirable.
