About the role

  • Performs strategic account management for energy efficiency programs, which includes customer and sector research, planning, database management (tracking customer interactions), consistent follow up, and working well with internal and external stakeholders
  • Plans and manages major customer relations engagements including on-site visits
  • Plans and manages relationships with trade allies, distributors, and commercial or industrial industry groups
  • Develops and cultivates strong internal relationships with PSE program managers, energy management engineers, marketing, communication and many other customer-facing teams at PSE
  • Occasional travel to trade ally programs and locations to build relationships, implement energy efficiency best practices at PSE, and understand needs of program performance
  • Develops, promotes, communicates and effectively implements a wide range of strategies for major customers
  • Keep detailed records of customer interaction and contact details of customers, trade allies, contractors, and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dealing with industrial customers
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
  • Knowledge of Commercial/Industrial programs and tariffs
  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic solutions that consider both PSE and customer needs
  • Experience in communication with multiple decision makers in varying levels of a customer’s organizations, from on-site staff to C-Suite executives
  • Experience managing with national accounts and brands, and publicly traded companies
  • BA/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Marketing or Finance (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Knowledge of energy markets
  • Experience in energy industry with an emphasis on energy efficiency measures
