About the role

  • Support the energy management system within the IT Energy Management Solutions (EMS) group
  • Maintain accurate configurations and system modeling information within the energy management system
  • Develop, support, and quality control of EMS screens, data points, SCADA configurations, control logic, alarm configurations, energy accounting, and energy market network and financial system models
  • Discover and analyze issues with EMS configuration and data as well as SCADA communications and field equipment
  • Support computer systems, software applications, databases and tools and analyze error conditions using root cause analysis techniques
  • Design, modify, develop, implement, and test system configurations and write/review documentation and user manuals
  • Act as a liaison between field support teams, Database Administration, Network Support, and Computer Operations
  • Develop implementation plans, perform scope/estimation/tracking for small to medium projects
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as part of an on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered
  • This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation
  • 2+ years of experience with application support (preferred)
  • PowerShell experience
  • .NET C# experience
  • Security patch management and software deployment knowledge
  • Computer networks experience
  • Strong customer service skills to act as a liaison between IT and business client
  • Ability to present technical information to non-technical users both in small and large group
  • Ability to understand technical environments to support the energy management system
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in order to figure out the root cause for issues
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employer will not sponsor Employment visas
