Responsibilities
Serves as the administrator for all internal (non-product) organizational systems.
Maintains patches, security certificates, and overall security controls utilizing transparent, auditable, and repeatable means.
Acts as the primary contact for internal technical/help desk support and resolves technical issues for internal users.
Installs, configures, and maintains end-user hardware and software and oversees hardware provisioning for new employees.
Tracks end-user equipment inventory and facilitates the disposal/destruction of outdated hardware according to company policies.
Install, configure, maintain, support and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other PC peripherals and related hardware, including remote access devices.
Maintain and review security controls for all organizational systems and end-user devices.
Monitor activity, patch information, violations, drift from known configurations, and lock or wipe systems as needed.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of installation, configuration, software, and inventory of company systems and end user devices.
Ensure all critical data on company systems and end user devices is backed up and recoverable to satisfy business recovery objectives.
Manage and maintain all user directory services, group policies, and network infrastructure.
Apply OS and application patches and upgrades on a regular basis and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance.
Participate in annual disaster recovery planning, testing, execution, and documentation of organizational systems.
Research, recommend, plan, and implement new technologies.
Requirements
Two-year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level II - 4+ years of related experience
Level III - 6+ years of related experience
Experience in managing Windows, Linux, and Mac devices through management software.
Experience in integrating cloud-based software services with organizational systems across cloud platforms, e.g. Azure AD integrations with AWS-based systems.
Experience with network devices such as firewall, VPN, network switches, and WIFI access points.
Experience with network design.
Experience with Windows and Linux servers (Windows server 2016+, RHEL Linux CentOS).
Experience with implementing anti-virus/malware detection software and ensuring means of producing regular reports/alerts from the same.
Experience with managing user directory services, policies, and device management through cloud services such as Azure.
Preferred
Experience in managing Windows via InTune and Mac devices via Jamf
Experience maintaining user systems account information, using an email-based support ticket system, and good documentation skills.
Proficiency in administering organizational systems through endpoint management software that manages system images, system packages, and provides system and user activity audit trail and alerting.
Working knowledge and experience with designing and implementing network architecture.
Experience with network devices especially firewalls (physical and virtual), VPNs, network switches, and WIFI access points.
Working knowledge of administering Windows and Linux servers.
Experience in implementing alerts and reporting for audit purposes regarding organizational systems in some automated fashion.
Working knowledge of administering user directory services, policies, and device management through Azure.
