Responsibilities
Support – provides human resources management services and advice to internal clients and stakeholders.
Consultant Support – responds to questions and addresses issues normally raised to other Consultants in their absence.
Human Resources Representative – human resources representative on site and/or regional committees or working groups.
Management Support – consults on issues related to Performance Management, Attendance Support and Assistance Program, and Respectful Workplace Complaints.
Labour Relations – interprets collective agreement and non-union policies, works with Managers on application of progressive discipline and grievance processes.
Recruitment functions – initiates and implements recruitment activities.
Organizational design – support clients in organizational design and re-design.
Requirements
3 - 5 years of progressive experience providing generalist human resources management support to management in a complex, multi-site, unionized environment, preferably in a large multi-enterprise and/or public sector organization.
Education: Undergraduate degree in human resources, or in a relevant discipline combined with a post-graduate certificate in human resources management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation with current membership in good standing or equivalent is preferred.
Certifications in project management, human resources, change management and quality processes are assets.
