About the role

  • Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies for the events portfolio (ChemUK, StocExpo, Tank Storage Magazine, Lab Innovations)
  • Manage the full marketing lifecycle from concept to execution, including audience targeting, content creation, and post-campaign analysis
  • Collaborate with event stakeholders, including sales teams and sponsors, to ensure alignment on goals and messaging
  • Lead development and optimisation of digital campaigns (email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, PPC)
  • Oversee management and optimisation of event websites for SEO, user experience, and lead generation
  • Develop compelling content including promotional materials, press releases, blogs, and case studies
  • Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers to produce creative content
  • Track and analyse marketing campaign performance using metrics and KPIs
  • Utilise CRM systems and marketing automation tools to segment, nurture, and engage audiences
  • Build and maintain relationships with exhibitors, partners, media, and industry associations
  • Work closely with the events team to ensure consistent brand messaging and a seamless marketing experience
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and ROI
  • Manage a team to drive campaigns, maintain community connections and deliver successful events

Requirements

  • B2B events experience (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in people management (preferred)
  • Budget management experience (preferred)
  • Expertise in both digital and traditional marketing channels
  • Strong copywriting, content development, and project management skills
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms (such as HubSpot, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and PPC
  • Experience managing and optimising event websites for SEO and lead generation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
