About the role

  • Take full ownership of new merchants post-onboarding from the Merchant Acquisition Specialist
  • Ensure QR placements and acquiring channels (POS, PED, eCommerce) are set up and collateral is live and functioning
  • Define activation objectives and deploy tools (e.g., vouchers, consumer incentives, capital pre-qualification)
  • Migrate merchants from free Basic plan to paid Engagement Plan where applicable
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the product stack to increase customer acquisition, repeat usage, and customer value
  • Tailor merchant growth strategies by vertical, performance and seasonality (campaigns, bundles, incentives, paid plan migration)
  • Proactively engage dormant or underperforming merchants for reactivation
  • Build deep relationships with store owners, managers and staff and conduct quarterly business reviews for top merchants
  • Act as single point of commercial escalation and accountability for portfolio
  • Partner with Regional Growth Activators, Operations and Product teams to align campaigns, resolve onboarding issues and provide merchant feedback
  • Track and report merchant growth activity; maintain updated merchant notes in QuickSights and Zoho
  • Forecast monthly growth targets by account and flag churn risks for intervention

Requirements

  • 5 years work experience
  • Solid experience in sales, customer success and marketing
  • Fintech experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and experience with payment products
  • Ability to interact with merchants and knowledge of the retail/hospitality industry
  • Familiar with local retail/business offerings
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Ability to drive active participation and activity completion in an online environment
  • Commercially strategic mindset focused on growth
