About the role

  • Drive residential and light commercial generator sales through technical training, upselling strategies, and collaboration with field sales teams.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and local teams to identify growth opportunities and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Develop relationships with product vendors and technicians to tailor recommendations to market demand.
  • Design comprehensive training programs for sales staff to strengthen knowledge of generators.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings for effective positioning and product selection.
  • Provide leadership across multiple sites to align sales strategies and execute training initiatives.
  • Travel up to 75–80% to support regional teams, conduct training, and attend industry events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential or light commercial generator industry experience with strong technical knowledge of systems, codes, and products.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role, with proven experience in sales, technical sales, or scaling sales programs to teams.
  • Generac certification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success influencing sales outcomes through training, technical coaching, and consultative selling.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Electrical license or certification (preferred).
  • Service Titan/CRM system experience strongly preferred.
