About the role
- Drive the strategic vision, development, and optimization of the company’s digital commerce ecosystem.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms that enhance customer experience and support growth.
- Partner closely with IT, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Define and execute a comprehensive eCommerce platform strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead omnichannel and mobile-first initiatives to optimize conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee platform architecture, integrations, and system reliability.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts.
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure platform performance, customer behavior, and ROI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce technology leadership or digital platform management
- 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience leading enterprise grade eCommerce implementations (Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar)
- Strong track record managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration between technical and business functions
- Deep understanding of headless commerce, API-driven development, and cloud-based infrastructure
- Hands-on knowledge of integrations with ERP, CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and agile methodologies
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), Agile, or eCommerce systems preferred
- Background in consumer goods, retail, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments preferred
