Business Unit Manager responsible for sales strategy and team leadership for Stryker Instruments within the MENA region. Driving commercial strategy and managing relationships in the healthcare market.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the commercial strategy for the Instruments by cross-divisional collaboration into the plan, which ultimately delivers the financial targets.
Manage and own the P&L for the region, including achieving sales revenue, margin and operating income annual targets.
As part of the MENA Leadership Team, contribute to the development of the 5-year strategy. This includes input into marketing strategies, acquisition target identification, organization development and X-Div. Collaboration initiatives.
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue through indirect sales channels.
Proactively lead the team to deliver high levels of engagement which translates into financial results.
Build an inclusive, high performing leadership team in the region and empower them to make decisions.
Ensure as a division we attract, develop, engage & align talent including succession planning & managing performance.
Be a strong developer of people – set challenging yet achievable targets, give feedback & coaching and recognize top performances to help create a future pipeline of talent for Stryker.
Stay abreast of industry development, best practices and emerging technologies to remain competitive in the market.
Contribute to the creation of, and responsible for the execution of the annual marketing plan.
Manage key customer relationships (existing and new), aimed at retaining and growing the business and reputation of Stryker in the market.
Requirements
10yrs sales experience with 3-5yrs in Sales Management in MNC environment is required
Demonstrated track record in Capital Sales, direct selling experience, preferably in the healthcare/medical device sector in MENA region with strong Commercial and customer management skills, good relationships with key opinion leaders and knowledge of the market, the main products and competitors.
Cultural empathy and agility. Able to work in complex environments with the ability to navigate sensitive cultural issues.
Proven experience in delivering market share growth and financial commitments.
Demonstrated success in building, managing, motivating and developing strong sales teams with direct and/or indirect channels. This includes acumen in setting sales targets and leveraging territory coverage and customer focus.
Strong Business Acumen and strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport & strong relationships.
Ability to be persuasive & influence a range of stakeholders, both internally & externally.
