About the role

• IT Application Operation Manager overseeing IT operations and ensuring application reliability at Vodafone. Managing projects, vendors, and IT transitions to enhance efficiency in Romania.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient delivery of projects by coordinating all phases, optimizing resources, controlling costs and timelines, and managing subcontractors.
• Oversee and implement updates and installations for new services.
• Manage IT transitions for new products and services.
• Negotiate service contracts, costs associated with implementations, quality and performance indicators, and implementation durations, with the support of the contracting department, with other providers of technical solutions.
• It is the single point of contact for external service providers or technical platforms.
• IT OPEX budget management.
• Define / propose the investment budget requirement (CAPEX) for IT improvement plans.
• Lead the development of operations analysis reports.
• Report on the achievement of results to the Head of IT Operations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of computer software and hardware, including servers and systems
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Effectively manages IT staff and sets department priorities.
• Assessing and improving processes is vital.
• Able to communicate with team members, management, and end users across the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to directly addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers.
• Financial management and budgeting skills
• Technical University diploma (Technology Information, Electronics, Telecommunications or other relevant)
• Knowledge specific to project management
• At least 5 years of experience in project implementation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom and industry-specific projects.
• Minimum 1 medium/ large size project implemented (> 100 thousand Euro).
• Solid knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and Agile.
• The ability to take decisions under pressure.
• Orientation to the customer.
