About the role

  • General Manager establishing strategy and managing sales for Virtuos in Tokyo. Building key relationships with developers and coordinating marketing activities in Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Hire the right profiles to grow the studio and help to find Design and creative projects.
  • Manage relationships with key developers and publishers in Japan.
  • Plan, set directions for and coordinate Virtuos sales and marketing activities in Japan.
  • Identify opportunities in the Japanese market, define and advise Management on Strategy, Sales.
  • Adjust Virtuos’ positioning to ensure competitivity within the market place.
  • Articulate Virtuos’ value proposition to clients based on a good understanding of game development processes and common production issues.
  • Evaluate opportunities in cooperation with Studios, formulate proposals and negotiate. Handle clients’ on-site visits.
  • Ensure after-sales coordination: hold regular calls or meetings with clients to monitor satisfaction and anticipate their needs.
  • Represent Virtuos: build market awareness by representing Virtuos at key industry events.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in a sales role in the gaming industry (8+Y) or experience as a Producer.
  • Existing network in the gaming and digital entertainment industry.
  • Passion for gaming and digital culture with good understanding of game production process and challenges.
  • Experience determining customer requirements and pitching complex solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision-maker able to work independently and self-driven.
  • University Bachelor Degree or above, fluent in English.
