About the role

  • Cyber Claims Manager offering risk management solutions and support for cyber incidents with involvement in various client relations. Focuses on incident management and insurance claims processing.

Responsibilities

  • Independently handle cyber losses and support our national and international clients during cyber incidents and claims
  • Manage active cyber incidents, from reporting the claim to the insurer through to final settlement
  • Coordinate processes between our clients, insurers and other stakeholders (crisis management, forensic service providers, law firms, crisis communications, etc.)
  • Advise and represent our clients' interests vis-à-vis insurers — in particular when asserting insurance claims and conducting settlement and negotiation discussions
  • Analyze complex case facts and assess coverage/legal entitlement
  • Contribute practical claims experience to the ongoing improvement of our insurance products and the optimization of processes
  • Build and maintain close relationships with internal teams (e.g., cyber brokers, incident management, client advisors, and cyber risk consulting) as well as with external partners (e.g., insurers, law firms, incident response network partners)

Requirements

  • You have completed your studies or vocational training in insurance, law, economics or a comparable field
  • You are interested in working at the intersection of insurance, information security and law
  • You are interested in cyber risk management, insurance law and data protection/IT and ideally already have initial experience in these areas
  • You are interested in claims handling and ideally already have initial experience in this area (across lines of business)
  • You demonstrate a confident presence as well as negotiation and communication skills
  • You enjoy taking on project responsibility and follow through until the shared goal is achieved
  • You have very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, and strong Microsoft Office skills
