About the role

  • Territory Manager at US Foods, responsible for building customer relationships and driving sales success in assigned territory. Collaborating with teams to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed
  • Drive Sales Success: Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through delivering impactful sales presentations
  • Effective time and territory management is critical
  • Team Based Selling: Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process
  • Know the market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided
  • Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
  • Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
  • Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
