About the role

  • Inside Sales and Order Planning Specialist at eagleyard Photonics, managing sales processes and logistics for high-performance laser diodes. Engaging with international customers and overseeing order planning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and independently prepare quotations and order confirmations
  • Take responsibility for coordinating quotations with customers in the scientific market
  • Follow up on quotations during the acquisition/sales phase
  • Provide information services and delivery tracking for customers and sales partners throughout the entire order processing lifecycle
  • Telephone customer support (focus on logistical service, not technical support)
  • Maintain customer and master data in the ERP and CRM systems
  • Manage customer portals (eBuying / Supplier Self-Assessments)
  • Support the logistics department with shipping matters as well as export and customs questions (national and international)
  • General support of the sales team

Requirements

  • Minimum: completed commercial or logistics-oriented vocational training (e.g., Industrial Clerk) or equivalent
  • Proficient German and business-level English are required
  • Relevant work experience in a comparable position is expected
  • Knowledge of customs procedures and export handling is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
  • Independent, goal-oriented working style and strong team skills
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Experience with ERP/WaWi and CRM system(s) is desirable (e.g., SAGE, Salesforce, SAP)
  • Previous exposure to the photonics industry is beneficial
