About the role
- Caregiver providing individualized 1:1 care for a patient in a home setting. Focused on providing compassionate, attentive support and monitoring in a non-hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Individualized work in a comfortable private household; not route-based care — care for a SINGLE patient only
- Intensive medical monitoring, basic and treatment nursing in the home setting
- Point of contact for the patient and their relatives
- Communication and coordination with therapists
- Implementation of rehabilitative measures and social support
- Outings and excursions with the patient and, if applicable, family members
- Maintaining nursing documentation
Requirements
- Qualified geriatric nurse, registered nurse, nursing specialist, or pediatric nurse
- Ideally: specialist qualification in out-of-hospital intensive care (e.g., nursing expert in out-of-hospital intensive and ventilator care), intensive care/anesthesia nurse specialist, or respiratory therapist
- Interest in providing outpatient care to patients requiring intensive care
- Passion for 1:1 (one-to-one) care
- Conscientious, independent, and responsible working style
- Empathy and compassionate care
- Enthusiasm for engaging in activities with the patient
