About the role

  • Director of Public Sector Programs at Teknion responsible for US sales and strategic partnerships. Leading Regional Sales Managers and increasing sales volume in the public sector market.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing Teknion’s Public Sector sales program in the United States.
  • Management of Regional Sales Managers.
  • Collaboration with regional and program sales leaders.
  • Implementation of corporate initiatives.
  • Development and management of budgetary constraints.
  • Maintenance of high level client relationships.
  • Increasing Teknion’s sales volume and market share within the Public Sector market.
  • Highlighting the benefits of Teknion’s public sector contracts with dealer partners and regional sales throughout the US.
  • Exceed public sector sales targets.
  • Lead and develop Regional Public Sector Sales Managers.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and performance evaluations of the Regional Public Sector Sales team.
  • Actively engage in strategic sales initiatives and high-value opportunities.
  • Support the development of public sector sales budgets and resource allocation.
  • Orchestrate collaborative sales efforts across Teknion's various departments.
  • Optimize distribution channels for the public sector market.
  • Identify and establish new public sector partnerships and dealerships.
  • Contribute to long-term sales planning, including forecasting personnel needs and market expansion.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all sales forecasts.
  • Exhibit strong, empowering leadership.
  • Foster professional and collaborative relationships with Teknion's operations teams.
  • Actively participate in key management initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience selling office furniture systems with a focus on the public sector with a proven track record of success and growth.
  • Experience managing a professional consultative sales organization.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve results.
  • Strong public sector acumen.
  • Strategic leader with the ability to communicate the programs vision throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional sales and business development skills.
  • Experience coaching and developing a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and technology proficient.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
