About the role

  • VP, Business Development Marketing overseeing marketing strategies and business development collaboration for Synchrony in the financial services sector. Responsible for driving growth and strategic client partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the marketing and growth organization in assigned platforms
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics
  • Lead marketing efforts from Pre-Deal Assessment (PDA), RFP development, ideation, value proposition recommendations
  • Cross-functionally manage the presentation process
  • Collaborate closely with business development teams and senior stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans detailing projected growth metrics
  • Evolve Synchrony’s storytelling in the business development process
  • Manage multiple business development deals concurrently

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 10 years of Business Development or Marketing experience in the financial services industry
  • 8+ years of Client Marketing (B2B or B2B2C) or Business Development Marketing experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience working with Synchrony, one of its client partners, or a competitive company.
  • 5+ years of experience to include:
  • Experience with marketing, organizational, and decision-making responsibilities
  • Understanding of business development processes
  • Cross functional team leadership experience
