About the role

  • Business Development Partner responsible for recruiting and training advisors for Sun Life. Collaborating with regional teams to support financial services growth and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, train, develop and coach developing advisors during their first four years
  • Source candidates for the Sun Life advisor role through community contacts
  • Support candidates with licensing studies, market identification, business planning
  • Train and onboard new advisors and oversee implementation of their onboarding plan
  • Develop advisor skills through coaching in areas like prospecting and sales cycle
  • Monitor advisor activities and ensure compliant operations
  • Achieve key recruiting and production metrics
  • Foster a positive culture through events and recognition programs

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience within the financial services industry
  • Valid Life Insurance Agent’s license in the province of Ontario
  • Valid Mutual Fund license in the province of Ontario
  • Complete the Branch Manager’s Course Examination within 6 months in the role
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com, Financial Planning software, Microsoft applications
  • Previous experience leading sales teams
  • Professional designation(s) in financial services
  • Previous people leadership experience
