About the role

  • Associate Account Executive role focusing on sales leads and customer relationship building for a leading retail network. Requires hybrid work location within Germany and occasional office presence in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently executing on retailer-directed leads, investigating each Supplier's current technical environment and prescribing the best solution to meet their needs
  • Serving as a consultant to the Supplier community, acting as an extension of our retail partners by clearly communicating their value proposition, the 'why,' timelines, and requirements
  • Driving maximum adoption of agreements from Retail customer vendors as part of coordinated, time-sensitive campaigns
  • Proactively calling prospective and existing customers, utilizing a consultative sales approach to uncover new sales opportunities, including initiating cold calls
  • Skillfully working through supplier objections or barriers, effectively conveying feedback to the Retailer as needed
  • Partnering with internal account teams to maximize future up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with Suppliers (ranging from small businesses to enterprise-level accounts)
  • Rapidly adopting and applying any new Community program strategies and initiatives
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of all activity, including key findings, progress, insights, and pipeline velocity in Salesforce.com
  • Providing timely and frequent feedback on program quality to ensure appropriate management of Retailer expectations, escalating known or anticipated issues and complications promptly
  • Completing all customer outreaches (calls and emails) within expected timelines, adhering to program dates and team Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of some post-secondary education plus relevant professional experience in a Sales role (e.g., outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and customer engagement skills
  • Fluent level of English and German
  • Process-focused with a close and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrable behaviors around integrity, curiosity, engagement, self-driven initiative, collaboration, relationship building, customer engagement/support, and leadership expectations
  • 1+ years of experience selling (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing) - nice to have
  • Proficiency in more than one of the following languages: Dutch or French or Spanish - nice to have
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce.com
