About the role

  • Associate Account Executive in a growing SaaS company managing retail sales and partnerships. Driving sales through consultative approaches and maximizing vendor engagement across various suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently execute on retailer-referred leads by conducting thorough investigations of each Supplier's current environment to prescribe optimal solutions that meet their strategic needs
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to the Supplier community, acting as an extension of our retail partners by clearly articulating their value proposition, rationale, timelines, and tailored requirements
  • Achieve maximum vendor adoption by securing signed agreements with retail customer vendors as part of a coordinated, time-bound campaign strategy
  • Employ a consultative sales approach when engaging both prospective and existing customers to deeply understand their needs and proactively uncover high-value sales opportunities
  • Proactively cultivate a "sales hunter" mindset to aggressively seek out and qualify new business opportunities, including strategic cold-calling initiatives
  • Navigate and resolve Supplier objections or barriers, effectively communicating key feedback and insights to the Retailer as necessary to maintain alignment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal account teams to identify and maximize future upsell opportunities across small, mid-market, and enterprise-level Suppliers
  • Integrate and rigorously apply all newly developed Community program strategies into execution workflows
  • Ensure exceptional internal and external customer satisfaction by providing timely, professional responses and collaborating effectively with the account team and management
  • Proactively provide continuous and actionable feedback on program quality to ensure appropriate management of Retailer expectations, escalating known or anticipated issues and complications to facilitate necessary course corrections
  • Execute all outreach activities (calls and emails) within established program timelines and in strict adherence to team Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of all activities, including key findings, progress metrics, strategic insights, and pipeline velocity within Salesforce.com

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a sales environment
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and customer engagement skills, demonstrated through effective relationship building
  • Proven ability to translate and clearly articulate complex business processes, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders with diverse technical and business expertise
  • Highly process-oriented with a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality execution
  • Exhibits strong professional behaviors, including integrity, intellectual curiosity, high engagement, self-driven initiative, collaboration, effective relationship building, customer advocacy, and emerging leadership qualities
  • Required fluency in English plus one of the following: Dutch, French, or German. Proficiency in more than one of these additional languages is highly advantageous.
