About the role

  • Business Engineer responsible for managing and developing client portfolios in Eastern France. Leading commercial strategies and client engagements for Shimadzu instruments and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop your client portfolio in the Eastern region of France
  • Implement the commercial strategy across your geographic area in line with company guidelines
  • Grow sales within the assigned territory
  • Prospect for new customers and promote the full range of Shimadzu products
  • Engage with customers to ensure client retention
  • Analyze and understand customers' needs and expectations
  • Prepare commercial proposals and manage administrative follow-up
  • Organize demonstrations of our high‑technology instruments
  • Defend your commercial offers and negotiate within the framework of provided guidelines

Requirements

  • Higher scientific education (equivalent to Bachelor's through Master's/PhD) in analytical chemistry
  • Proven and successful professional experience of at least 5 years in selling scientific solutions and/or laboratory equipment
  • Strong knowledge of analytical and separation techniques in chemistry (chromatography, spectrometry, etc.)
  • Good understanding of laboratory environments and commonly used laboratory software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
