About the role

  • Sales Engineer closing vision solutions opportunities with End Users and Partners in Virginia. Collaborating across territories while demonstrating Cognex products and assisting at marketing events.

Responsibilities

  • Properly forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with End Users, Partners, and OEMs
  • Utilize the Cognex sales process to effectively demonstrate products to customers
  • Follow up on sales leads and schedules customer visits
  • Effectively conducts customer visits in a solution sales environment
  • Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on opportunities
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, understand system requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution
  • Assist at trade shows and other marketing events

Requirements

  • Proven track record of sales performance in the automation or similar industry
  • Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time is required
  • Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization is required
  • Experience in selling vision products is also preferred
