About the role
- Server Administrator managing the effective provisioning, installation, and maintenance of systems for Sanford Health. Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Cloud based systems, physical and virtual on-premise servers, on-premise server hardware, and other related software and hardware infrastructure.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves performance issues.
- Works with internal support teams, help desk and outside vendors to resolve tickets and implement new/upgraded systems.
- Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations for system improvements.
- The Server Administrator diagnoses, resolves, and documents system problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Develops and executes integration test plans and quality assurance measures, where applicable.
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and associated standard operating procedures meet organizational requirements.
- Provides training and support where required.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a computer-related field required
- Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field preferred
- Three years of technical experience working with computer infrastructure in either on-premise or cloud-based administration.
- When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
- Must have a strong understanding of information security, system hardening, and implementing proactive measures to protect the infrastructure.
- Must have an extensive working knowledge in the configuration and maintenance of server infrastructure and related operating systems or infrastructure applications, which may include Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware, and Citrix.
