About the role

  • Payroll Specialist handling employee payroll and administrative duties in a dessert manufacturer. Managing accounting for labor issues as part of a structured team in a reliable work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform payroll processing, including all related pre- and post-processing tasks for a defined group of employees
  • Carry out correction runs
  • Handle all administrative duties related to payroll accounting, including issuing certificates, maintaining personnel files, correspondence, and preparing statistics and reports
  • Support industrial/technical employees in all personnel-related matters
  • Maintain master data and record and manage absences
  • Manage all formalities related to the onboarding and offboarding of interns
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing tasks
  • Administer the company pension scheme for all employees

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification — ideally with a focus on human resources
  • Solid, several years of experience in payroll processing and comprehensive knowledge of German tax law, labor law, and social security law
  • Confident user of MS Office and an affinity for digital tools and HR systems (e.g., Hansalog)
  • Careful, reliable, and structured way of working
  • Open, service-oriented personality with enjoyment of teamwork and interaction with employees and external partners
  • High degree of discretion and a good sense for handling confidential information
