About the role

  • Social Media & PR Manager focusing on local UK strategy at a global employee engagement leader. Driving social media campaigns and overseeing media relations to enhance brand credibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the local social media strategy and execution, ensuring campaigns resonate with UK audiences while aligning with global direction
  • Own content calendars and channel management, driving growth in reach, engagement and sentiment across all social platforms, with a focus on Linkedin
  • Oversee community management, social advocacy and employee advocacy, fostering authentic dialogue, encouraging staff participation on social platforms, and responding to feedback to build trust and amplify reach
  • Partner with our PR agency to develop and implement UK media and communications strategies that enhance brand awareness and credibility
  • Support the creation of press releases, media pitches, thought leadership content and executive profiles in collaboration with the agency
  • Collaborate with Leadership, spokespeople and other stakeholders to identify and maximise PR opportunities
  • Design and execute influencer marketing strategies, building authentic partnerships that amplify brand storytelling and drive engagement across key audiences
  • Develop the review sites strategy (e.g. Trustpilot), including monitoring and responding to customer feedback
  • Work in partnership with the global design and social media team members, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and timely delivery of content
  • Track, analyse and report on performance, delivering insights that inform strategy and demonstrate ROI
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates and emerging influencer opportunities to keep campaigns fresh and competitive

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of social media best practice and content creation, with a focus on balancing global consistency and local relevance
  • Practical knowledge of PR and media relations, with experience working alongside PR agencies or managing media activity
  • Experience working with content creators and designers for high-quality campaign outputs
  • Proven expertise working collaboratively with global marketing teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality social media & PR projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling and translating complex ideas into clear messages
  • Highly organised with strong project management capabilities, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a collaborative style that fosters cross-functional teamwork
