HR Benefits Coordinator managing and administering employee benefits programs for organization. Ensures compliance with benefits regulations and optimizes benefit plans to align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end benefits enrollment process, including new hire orientation and annual open enrollment periods.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, claims, and issues, providing timely and accurate information.
Collaborate with benefits vendors and insurance carriers to ensure proper plan administration and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain and update employee benefits records in HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist in benefits communication efforts by preparing materials, presentations, and FAQs to educate employees on available programs.
Monitor compliance with applicable laws such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA, and assist with audits and reporting requirements.
Manages leave programs to include FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and ADA
Support the HR team in analyzing benefits utilization and costs to recommend improvements or changes to benefit offerings.
Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role
Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist employees and collaborate with vendors
Experience working in a mid-to-large sized organization with diverse employee populations
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools to support benefits reporting
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits compliance
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
