Responsibilities
Act as an extension of the sales organization by leveraging the partner community
Drive marketing programs with key partners
Maintain relationships with partners and customers
Ensure partner sales teams can articulate Proofpoint's SAAS Value Proposition
Build business plans and regional strategies for channels
Regularly interact with partners and sales management
Supervise account mapping activities between Proofpoint sales organization and partners
Requirements
Strong business acumen
Regular interaction with partner principals, executives, and sales teams
Conduct sales training presentations with partner sales teams
Work with the Channel Marketing team to drive marketing programs
Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business
Define and deploy business plans with channel partners
Develop and execute a regional strategy for recruiting new channel partners
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning
Meet or exceed channel quotas
Oversee relationship building activities and account mapping activities
Strong cross functional leadership and excellent communication skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing resellers, particularly in information security and data archiving markets
Bachelor’s Degree
Existing relationship and experience with SHI in the East geo.
