About the role

  • Technical Support role providing service and trial support to end-makers and coil coaters in EMEA. Focusing on optimizing machinery and coordinating technical assistance for major customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service and trial support to end-makers and coil coaters throughout the EMEA region
  • Attend key trials across the entire EMEA region
  • Optimize machinery settings
  • Provide technical support to customers with new technologies and legacy products
  • Coordinate technical assistance to major customers
  • Deliver training programmes to broaden the skills matrix
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers to enhance technical support capability
  • Deliver post-conversion technical support to enhance plant relationships
  • Instigate continuous improvement programmes at customer facilities
  • Carry out troubleshooting activities at customer sites
  • Investigate and understand failed trials

Requirements

  • Experience of PPG EHS policies and reporting methods
  • Clean driving licence
  • English-speaking to high level
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Packaging Coatings business, with a focus on the EOE sector
  • Willingness to travel extensively within EMEA as necessary
  • Ability to self-arrange and execute any required travel plans efficiently using the PPG travel tools (e.g. booking own flights, hotel and hire car)
  • Ability to train PPG and customer personnel
